Dear James,<\/p>\n

We like to think about ourselves in positive terms.
\nNot that we succeed in this all the time, but at least we try.<\/p>\n

Having a rebellious disposition, I like to think about myself as a rebel with a cause.
\nWhy do I tell you this? Let me tell you.<\/p>\n

Last May a certain feeling in me surfaced. And not only that, also in the instantaneous revealing this words came: the people that raised me were always leaning on a invisible quasi all knowing authority. God the highest, the widest, was all the time used to narrow you down. (A video report of this is here<\/a>).<\/p>\n

The last week of August I attended again a week of bowel cleaning and parallel<\/span><\/span> to that also the preparation for and\u00a0 a cleansing of the liver the last day\/night.
\n(For the last year report of this, including pictures, \ud83d\ude42 , see here<\/a>).<\/p>\n

The morning after a restless night, also many old memories came out of the liver. I went through a mourning process about a job that was quitted 35 years ago. And many more things came along the mental screen.
\nI also realized that my hypersensitive reaction on (part of) your way of teaching, is another example of being triggered by behaviour that has traits in common with the good old ‘leaning on invisible authorities’ of my educators.
\nAnd two days later (in fact this morning of Tuesday August 25), in another cloud of liver memories, it dawned on me that especially that to which I have opposed so strongly in your behaviour, is spot on another characteristic of this christian culture that brought me forth: We know the Truth and all the others are mistaken.<\/p>\n

So, here it is, your lecture after lecture repeated ”The Neo advaitins miss the point, only the classic Advaita Vedanta that I teach is the real stuff”, just triggered my old stuff.<\/p>\n

I have kept rebelling against this kind of behaviour (and probaly will, yet more relaxed) until finally also over this unconscious pattern the sun rose.
\nEnlightenment bit by bit.
\nIt is hard work, yet worth every calorie spent on it.
\nThis rebel found a cause again.
\nAre you also raised in a christian setting?<\/p>\n

I have heard that you come to Tiruvannamalai again this winter.
\nMaybe we can meet fresh then and there.
\nLooking forward to that.<\/p>\n
